Householders bulky waste and electrical goods collection

This is a chargeable service we provide to remove bulky waste items and electrical goods from your home. Please ensure that all listed bulky items are out by 6.45am and left where your bins are normally collected from.

How much will it cost?

Items for collection are divided into 2 catergories- List A and List B.

List A - items contained in this list will be collected for a charge of £23.50.  These are items you would normally take if you were to move house.

List B- items contained in this list will be quoted on an individual basis.  An officer will contact you to advise you on the cost to collect these items.

We do not collect car parts. If an item does not appear on List A or List B the council will have the final decision. Items on List B will be quoted on an individual basis.

Arranging and paying for a collection

You can arrange your Householders bulky collection by the following:

All payments must be made in advance of collection.  You can make a payment over the phone by credit or debit card or by cash at the cash office in Bayard Place.

Free alternatives

You can take a wide range of items to the householders recycling centre in Dogsthorpe free of charge. Reusable unwanted furniture in good condition can be dontaed to local charity shops. Contact your local charity shop to see if they can offer a free collection.
