Face The People
One of the requirements for the SaferPeterborough
partnership, which has been set by the Home Office, is to carry out
two consultation exercises with the public each calendar
year.
The Face The People consultations usually form part of a larger
local event in Peterborough where there is a large draw of people
from different communities, backgrounds and ages.
There are lots of organisations that put on public meetings, but
the partnership is not expecting people to come to it – instead it
goes to them.
High-ranking decision makers from the partnership attend these
events (usually part of the Peterborough Festival and the Christmas
Lights switch-on) and talk with you, members of the public, about
how they feel about living in their communities, what they would
like to see improved and what priorities they think
SaferPeterborough should focus on.
The data captured is used to devise campaigns that focus on
specific areas you have pointed out is a concern to them. The
consultation results are used as comparative data for future Face
The People events.
