Arson
A new arson investigation unit has been created
following a review of how the SaferPeterborough partnership tackles
arson, identifies offenders and brings them to
justice.
Based within the SaferPeterborough partnership’s community
safety section at Bayard Place in the city centre, the team is made
up of a fire investigator, detective sergeant and an arson
analyst.
To assist the new team with their investigations, the
partnership has purchased a number of covert cameras that can be
used to detect arsonists.
