December 2011: A 29 year-old male made threats to punch another in a pub and was racially abusive to him. He was charged with racially aggravated common assault and racially aggravated Intentional Harassment. He received a 12 month suspended imprisonment sentence, a curfew for eight weeks and 150 hours unpaid work. He was fined £85 costs and made to pay £100 in compensation.

November 2011: An 18 year-old male was verbally abusive to a group of white youths. He was made to do 100 hours unpaid work and was under curfew for three months. He was ordered to pay £85 in costs.

October 2011: A 42 year-old man damaged a taxi cab with his fist and was racially abusive to the driver. He was charged with racially aggravated criminal damage. The man was given six months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation.

October 2011: A man was racially abusive to a private hire taxi driver and caused damage to the vehicle. He was arrested and at court was given a six-month conditional discharge for each offence and required to pay £85 compensation for the damage and £150 compensation for the racial abuse.

September 2011: A 23 year-old man was racially abusive to a professional worker and was charged with assaulting the worker. The man was given a 12-month supervision order with £85 costs.

September 2011: A 51 year-old male was summoned to court for sending offensive material which was both abusive and racist. With the support of Cross Keys Homes, the man attended court and pleaded guilty to a public order offence and sending a malicious letter. He was fined £100 for each offence and ordered to pay £50 compensation to the victim and £85 court costs.

August 2011: A 19 year-old man assaulted another man outside a nightclub and was racially abusive. At court he was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment.

July 2011: A 19 year-old man was acting in a disorderly manner in the city centre and was racially abusive to a police officer and arrested. At court he was given a £100 fine and costs of £85 plus a £15 victim surcharge for a racially aggravated public order offence.

April 2011: A 24 year-old male was racially abusive to two people at a night club in the city. He was arrested and at court and a community order was made. The offender was also given a curfew which means he has to be at home between 8pm and 6am each day.

January 2011: A teenage female was racially abusive to some Asian males and was arrested. At court she was ordered to pay £70 costs and received a referral order.
