Motorcycling

Every year thousands of people are injured on roads in the UK. While motorcyclists represent less than 1% of road traffic, they account for almost 20% of deaths and serious injuries on the roads. Motorcyclists are also 40 times more likely to be killed than a car driver.

Motorbikes and ridersMotorcyclists are encouraged to attend BikeSafe courses which run in Peterborough during the summer months.

The courses are delivered by advanced police motorcyclists and explain the attributes of a good rider and how to control a motorcycle including cornering, positioning, overtaking and group riding.

At the end of the course there is an opportunity to undertake an assessed ride, under the guidance of a police motorcyclist to put into practice new found skills.

Three courses are held between May and September.
