To provide an efficient complaint investigation service for alleged unauthorised development and to seek the speedy resolution of such, firstly by negotiation and secondly by the use of legal powers, as appropriate.
Monitor implementation of approved development for compliance with approved plans, conditions and legal agreements.
To monitor development where permission is sought under other consent regimes to ensure that the necessary planning permission is sought and the development accords with approved plans.
