Care and Repair
Care & Repairs assists vulnerable, older and disabled residents to maintain, repair and adapt their homes. The work is to enable both adults and children to continue to live independently in their home which is warm and safe.
The Agency staff help clients access funding to adapt or repair their homes, they also check for benefit shortfalls. The team’s surveyor, inspect properties, write schedules of work, draw architectural plans, and project manage building work. The team use a vetted list of contractors who work to a code of conduct to produce quality work. The Agency surveyors inspect final work to confirm completion and maintain standards.

||Disabled Facilities Grants require an Occupational Therapist Assessment: 01733 747474 and are means tested.
Minor Aids and Adaptions require an Occupational Therapist Assessment: 01733 747474 but are generally free of charge if requested by the Occupational Therapist.
Handy person scheme: Over 60 or classed as vulnerable e.g. registered disabled.
