How to use a bus

If you have not travelled on a bus before the information below will help you.

Buses at bus station
  • At the bus stop signal with your hand for the driver to stop the bus and get on.
  • Payment for your journey should be made in cash. Exact change is appreciated where possible, although change can be given.
  • Many buses have special zones where buggies and shopping trolleys can be safely parked and fold-down seats so that you can sit next to your buggy.
  • For your own safety you should remain seated throughout your journey.
  • When the bus is approaching your destination stop, press the bell once and wait until the bus stops before vacating our seat.
  • Sometimes the bus back home leaves from a different bus stop. Please ask the driver if you are unsure where the bus leaves for your journey home.
