Car park locations and parking charges

A guide to parking details and the location of the car parks. All of our car parks are open 24 hours and 7 days for pay and display parking (including public and bank holidays). Charges are displayed within each car park and are specific to short or long stay.

Short stay parking charges

Daytime charges apply between 7am and 5pm.

Evening (5pm to 7am) £1.50

Long stay parking charges

Daytime charges apply between 7am and 5pm.

Special parking charges

The following special deals are available:

  • Park in the Pleasure Fair Meadow facility for only £3 all day or 50p for one hour.
  • The first hour in Northminster multi-storey is 50p.
  • Wirrina car park is £3 all day.
  • Regional Pool is £1 for 3 hours, £3.30 for 4 hours, £5.50 for 7 hours and free of charge between 4pm and 9am.
  • Dickens Street car park offers a 24 hour tariff of £2.30 or 50p for 1 hour.

Motorcycle parking

There are free secure parking facilities for motorcycles at the following locations:

All the secure motorcycle locations incorporate stainless steel low level anchor rails attached to railings.

Motorhome parking

Motorhomes may park at the Brook Street Car Park adjacent to the Stanley Recreation Ground near to the Market with the usual car park restrictions. The nearest overnight serviced location is Ferry Meadows.

Other main car parks

The parking facilities at both Queensgate and Peterborough Railway Station are NOT run by the city council. For information regarding these facilities you should call the appropriate number below:

Park mark

Peterborough City Council's parking facilities have a safety seal of approval. Car parks that display the Park Mark tick, denote the facility has been awarded Park Mark safer parking status by the Association of Chief Police Officers’ Safer Parking Scheme - managed by the British Parking Association.

Car parks that have been awarded safer parking status are Bishops Road, Wellington Street, Brook Street, Pleasure Fair Meadow, Car Haven, Trinity Street, Regional Pool and Riverside Car Park.

Season Tickets

The purchase of a season ticket is recommended for those who park regularly or for longer periods in council car parks.They are available on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis at a much lower price than the all day parking charge.

The permits are available as either a daytime ticket or for evening parking only. However, please note that season tickets may not be used in the following car parks or parking areas:

  • Car Haven car park
  • Market multi-storey (Floors - Ground, 1 & 2. Evening season ticket holders may park on any level)
  • Regional Pool car park
  • Trinity Street car park - specific permits are available for this car park, please telephone (01733) 452514 for further information
  • Any on-street pay & display parking places
  • Any controlled residential parking places/zones
