Visitor parking permits & scratch cards

Visitors may park their vehcle in the appropriate resident's bay ,  street or zone where the resident lives.  This is permitted on issue of \a permit or scratch card.

Do you qualify for a visitor permit or visitor scratch card?

If the street you live in permanently is covered by the scheme and your visitors use a car to get there you are entitled to a permit or scratch card.. You do not need to own a vehicle to apply for a Visitor Permit or Visitor Scratch Cards. One single Visitor Permit is available to purchase,on application. Scratch cards can be purchased in books of 10. There are no limits on the number of Visitor Scratch Cards bought, but the Council will monitor application and use. Any abuse could result in the permanent withdrawal of permits. A single scratch card is valid for 24 hours from its activation and may be used at any time during the 24 hour period in any number of vehicles within a designated resident bay.

A Resident Permit, a Visitor Permit or a Visitor Scratch Card does not guarantee that a parking space will always be available. Permits are issued at the discretion of Peterborough City Council  who ensure that the scheme is as fair as possible. Restrictions for permit application e.g. types of permit available, number of permits issued per address, may be in place in certain areas/streets/zones; you will be informed of any restriction on application.
