Road safety training

There is a range of training courses currently available from the road safety team.

Pedestrian training

Offered to all reception children in Peterborough’s schools. The training involves a short walk around the local school environment to introduce the key road safety message 'Stop, Look and Listen' to help children stay safe when using the roads and to encourage parents to teach their children the basics.  All children are required to have an adult to accompany them.  If you are interested please ask your school or contact roadsafety@peterborough.gov.uk.

The safer cycling scheme

Available free of charge for year 5/6 pupils aged 10 and over in schools with a trained instructor.  Cycling is a fun, convenient and healthy way to get around - but if you don't follow basic safety guidelines the consequences can be very serious. If you would like more information about delivering the scheme in your school or how your child can participate please contact the roadsafety@peterborough.gov.uk.

BikeSafe

Delivered in Peterborough by advanced police motorcyclists during the summer months.
