Background Information
To recognise the fact that workplace travel planning is a
process (and not just a piece of paper), employers are rewarded at
six defined steps during the development process. For employers new
to travel planning, the Awards provide a structured process to work
through to ensure that a high quality and effective travel plan
will be produced. Successful employers collect their awards at an
annual ceremony, held alternatively in Peterborough and Cambridge.
The awards are free to enter and two delegates from each business
can attend the ceremony. This year the ceremony will be taking
place in Cambridge.
The awards are split into the following steps
- Step 1: Certificate of Commitment - Recognises
employers that have committed to develop a travel plan.
- Step 2: Certificate of Development -
Recognises the development of the travel plan document.
- Step 3: Certificate of Implementation
-Recognises the launch of the travel plan.
- Step 4: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Travel Plan Award
- Recognises the success of the travel plan
through continued implementation and regular monitoring.
- Step 5: Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Travel Plan Award
- Recognises those employers who have managed to
integrate their travel plan into the culture of their
organisation.
- Step 6: Continuing Excellence Award -
Recognises employers with mature travel plans who continue to make
progress.
Each step requires that a certain number of criteria are
met.
