Peterborough's Official Cycle Map "Your Cycle Map" is designed by cyclists for cyclists, to be as user friendly as possible. With its special splash resitant coating it stays dry so you can always get the information you need including:

  • Comprehensive detail of Peterborough's cycle network.
  • Mapping of the Green Wheel and other rural routes.
  • National Cycle Network routes.

"Your Cycle Map" is available for £1.50 throughout Peterborough at locations, including:

  • The Destination Centre, Bridge Street.
  • The Travelchoice Centre, Queensgate Bus Station.
  • The Queensgate Information Desk, outside John Lewis.
  • The Caravan Club and Visitor Centre, Ferry Meadows.
  • Local Libraries.
  • Most local cycle shops.

Peterborough's Leisure Route Guides

Travelchoice has designed a series of leisure route guides which highlight scenic cycle routes that explore some of Peterborough's wonderful countryside and many attractions, including the villages of Castor, Marholm, Etton, Helpston, Werrington and Farcet.

Each route has been recommended by experienced cyclists and each route is regularly checked and updated. Most of the routes are on quiet lanes or off-road tracks, which makes them accessible for anyone. FurthermoGet cycling front coverre, with distances ranging from 7 to 16 miles there is a route for everybody!

The guides are available free of charge from all locations which stock "Your Cycle Map" however maps of the routes can be downloaded from our Downloads page.

New to cycling, or just interested to know more about the pleasures of cycling in Peterborough? The Get Cycling in Peterborough booklet is just for you. This clear and concise booklet gives an overview of the benefits of cycling, cycle security, safety, road signs and cycle routes in Peterborough.

Working alongside Cycling England, Ordnance Survey and Transport Direct Travelchoice are one of the first local authorities in the UK to have an interactive cycle journey planner. The journey planner should hopefully identify the best route for you, whether you would like a quiet and recreational route, or just the quickest and most direct.

In Peterborough we have eleven key routes that aim to provide clear, continuous and safe routes between townships and employment areas to the city centre. These routes are known as the Primary Cycle Network.
