Cycle by Train
Cycling by train is easy and convenient. More
and more people are changing to cycling by train as it provides a
door to door journey.

You can take a suitable folding bike on any train as hand
luggage in England. It is easier to avoid or squeeze through
congestion areas and you are less reliant on other services that
could delay your journey. Many cities and towns produce their own
cycle map to help you find your way around. You can find out if
your destination has a cycle map by contacting the Tourist
Information Centre in that city or town.
Folding Bikes
There are many makes of folding bikes on the market and you can
choose the brand that best suits your particular needs. Some
folding bikes such as the Brompton and Dahon can be hand carried
across stations with ease. They are surprisingly fast for bicycles
with small wheels and those with high pressure tyres are often
faster than a mountain bike or a hybrid version. Folding bikes only
take a minute to fold or unfold and come with accessories to suit
most individual needs. Ask your local cycle shop about folding
bikes. Many sell folding bikes even though they may not have them
on display.
