Cycling Infrastructure
Travelchoice are committed to continuing to improve the cycle
network in Peterborough. By following Cycle England's best practice
standards we will attempt to improve cycle routes in terms of their
coherence, connectivity, comfort and safety.
If you notice particular routes, which are poorly lit,
unmaintained or lack signage, please let us know, so that we can
look to improve it for you.
Take part in our cycle infrastructure survey and let us know what
you think.
Two key documents have been written to help: The Peterborough
Cycle Design Guidelines and The Peterborough Cycle Parking
Guidelines. Both documents aim, to provide specific information for
planners, developers and businesses on how infrastructure should be
designed to make it as cycle friendly as possible. They can be
downloaded from our Downloads page.
Cycle Parking
Every year Travelchoice install cycle stands throughout the
city. If you've ever been to a shop on your bike and not been
able to lock it up or thought your local community centre lacked
secure cycle parking - let Travelchoice know, email us at travelchoice@peterborough.gov.uk
Glass on the Cycleway?
If whilst you are cycling around the city and you notice glass
on a cycleway or if the route is overgrown please contact
Peterborough Direct on (01733) 747474 or complete a
faults reporting form.
