Calculate your carbon footprint
Find a carbon
calculator
There are a number of carbon calculators available. Try
www.CO2balance.com which enables
you to calculate emissions from some rail and car journeys or
www.transportdirect.info
which provides a means to compare the emissions made by a small
car, large car, train, coach and plane for a set distance.
How can I cut my carbon emissions?
Having calculated your carbonfootprint, you'll need to think
about how you can make changes to reduce it. Think about the
journeys that you make and how you could make these trips by
different means. For example, if you drive to work, could you find
someone to car share with once/twice a week? If you drive to the
local shop, consider cycling instead. Take a look through the
Travelchoice pages for inspiration and information to help you plan
your journeys by sustainable means.
