Railcards

You can purchase discounted Senior Railcards and Disabled Persons Railcard vouchers which allow 1/3 off many rail journeys. This discount is available to both Peterborough and non-Peterborough residents.

Where can I purchase or renew my Railcard/Railcard voucher?

You can purchase or renew your Railcard/Railcard voucher at the Travelchoice Centre located in the Queensgate bus station. You will need to fill in an application form, show proof of age/disability and pay the fee (cheques must be made payable to Peterborough City Council) in order to obtain a Railcard/Railcard voucher. Senior Railcard

The discounted Senior Railcard is available to everyone aged 60 and over. The cost of this Railcard is £26.00 as opposed to £28.00 if purchased directly from the railway station and it entitles the cardholder to a 1/3 off many rail tickets. An applicant must provide proof of age and the Senior Railcard is valid for 1 year. 

Disabled Persons Railcard

The discounted Disabled Persons Railcard is available to everyone who is eligible on disability grounds and costs £18.00 as opposed to £20.00 if purchased directly from ATOC (Association of Train Operating Companies) and it entitles the cardholder to 1/3 off many rail tickets. If another adult is travelling with you, they can also travel at the same discounted fare.

Peterborough City Council will issue you with a Disabled Persons Railcard voucher which you will need to post to ATOC, along with your proof of disability, and they will post your Railcard to you.
