  • To reduce the number of pedestrian and cyclist casualties.
  • To reduce car use and promote alternatives such as cycling, walking and bus use.

How can my school get SJTS funding?

  • SJTS projects are based around the School Travel Plan document, which has been written by a working group. Working groups usually include teachers, governors, pupils, council staff and local residents. If you are interested in the Safer Journeys to School project or the School Travel Plan, contact your school and ask whether your name and contact detaila can be added to the working group list.
