Get Involved - Peterborough Travel Plan Network
We offer buisnesses working on travel plans the chance to join
the free Travel Plan Network to share best practice, find out about
new initiatives in Peterborough and learn from others.
Sign up for free!
Joining the network is completely free and entitles you to:
- Site visit to help determine your needs and possibilities.
- Online survey for staff plus templates for visitor
surveys.
- Postcode mapping service using GIS to identify where staff are
travelling from.
- Access to www.carsharepeterborough.com
- the free online car sharing database for Peterborough residents
and businesses.
- Regular e-newsletter with information from other businesses in
Peterborough and further afield.
- Promotional material and downloads (e.g. leaflets, maps,
posters, freebies).
- Ideas for initiatives, measures, publicity and national events
(e.g. European Car Free Day, Travelchoice Week, Bike Week
etc).
- Discounts at local cycle shops and outlets via the good going
campaign.
- Workshops and seminars on various topics throughout the
year.
- Enter the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Workplace Travel Plan Awards to gain recognition
for the hard work you put into making your travel plans work.
Successful applicants are invited to a ceremony with guest
speakers.
- Business grants - option to bid for up to £3000
capital funding for infrastructure improvements for your business
(e.g. cycle parking, showers, electronic charging points, car share
signs etc)
- On-going telephone/email support and information to ensure the
successful development and implementation of your travel
plan.

As part of the support package, we offer a guidance pack for
Peterborough businesses. This contains a step by step guide for
producing your travel plan as well as a USB tool kit with further
information and templates. Due to the cost of the pack there is a
charge of £45 per pack. Email travelchoice@peterborough.gov.uk
