Walk to Work Week
Did you join in Walk to Work Week?
Feel better for it? You may even decide to make it a permanent
lifestyle change
- Walk to Work Week this year took place between 26
April and 30 April.
- The national awareness raising event run by the charity Living
Streets aims to encourage employees to walk more as part of their
commute and working day, and to help workplaces encourage and
promote walking amongst their workforce.
- Walking all or part of your commute is an excellent way to get
some activity into your day, doing wonders for both your mental and
physical health. Peterborough City Council's Travelchoice team
organised a competition to tie in with the national event and
to offer local employers another way of promoting a healthier
lifestyle to staff.
