Support for Afghan refugees

Peterborough City Council has confirmed our commitment to resettling in the region of 100 individuals from Afghanistan, typically forming family units, as part of the national Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), and the broader Afghan Citizens’ Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) for other vulnerable Afghans.

An offer to resettle a family can be made only at the point that suitable housing has been identified, so as with our Syrian Refugee Resettlement programme, we will be working with private sector landlords who are keen to support this work, as well as Cross Keys Homes and Accent Nene Housing.

We have set up dedicated contact channels for anyone that wants further information, to offer accommodation or other support.

You can get in touch by completing our online form, by email to arap@peterborough.gov.uk or by calling 01733 747474.
