We have a duty under the Gambling Act 2005 to licence premises where gambling is to take place, and to licence certain other activities (such as registering small society lotteries). Every licensing authority is required to publish a statement of principles and review this statement at least every 3 years. The statement sets out how we intends to approach this task. The initial statement was published in January 2007, was updated in January 2010 and 2013 and a revised statement is therefore required to be published by January 2016.
