The Peterborough Health and Wellbeing Board (HWB) are looking at whether there are enough providers of pharmaceutical services for the population of Peterborough. Pharmaceutical services include filling prescriptions, selling medicines that don’t need to be prescribed by a doctor, giving advice about medicines, supporting people to quit smoking, and other services.
There is a report called a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) based on information about local health needs and existing services and results of a survey with local pharmacies and GP dispensaries. This report will be used by NHS England when making decisions on applications to open new pharmacies.
Have your say
You can share your thoughts on what has been written about pharmaceutical services in Peterborough, and if the PNA covers what is important to you regarding the pharmaceutical services you need. It is important to understand how easy it is for you to get and use medicines or medical equipment safely and access the services you need or want from pharmacies. Your views will be summarised and included in the final report.
Please complete the online Draft Peterborough Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) 2018 survey before 23 December 2017 to let us know your views. Results will not be available until after the March 2018 Health & Wellbeing Board.
If you would like a hard copy of the survey either in paper format, large print or in other languages please email email@example.com.
