Over the next 15 years, our population will grow from around 200,000 to 235,000. That’s an increase of over 17 per cent.
Peterborough City Council, together with partners such as Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Opportunity Peterborough, has a vision for how we want our city centre to look in the future – so it best meets the needs of those who live, work and visit.
We call this the City Centre Development Framework. It’s important we get this right, because we are literally building the future. The infrastructure and landmarks that our children and our children’s children will come to see as iconic to the city’s look and feel.
How we will deliver the framework
We know that private and public organisations are interested in investing money in Peterborough.
In June 2020 we will stage an investors conference to gather everyone together so they can find out more about the opportunities that we have our city.
Each of the eight elements of the City Centre Framework will be rolled out at different times over the coming years.
