Principal Social Worker

The role of Principal Social Worker involves:

  • Taking the professional lead across the organisation, supporting and advising on the quality of practice
  • Drawing on professional experience to influence strategic decision making across the organisation
  • Developing and sustaining partnership arrangements with stakeholders
  • Promoting and participating in developing the body of social work knowledge and research.

As an employer of social workers, we endeavour to ensure a supportive working environment for our staff. Part of this process involves meeting the Standards for Employers of Social Workers set by the Department of Health. In order to assess our strengths and where we can improve in meeting the standards, an Adult Social Care health check has been conducted. The report of our findings can be found to the right.
