Budding entrepreneurs are being invited to trial their business for free at Peterborough City Market over the festive season.
You may already be selling products or services in your spare time or have a business idea you want to test on the public. Either way, the market is the perfect place for you to test your idea this Christmas - saving you up to £600 in the process!
The market is especially interested to hear from people wanting to trade in retro clothing, home furnishings, upcycled products, homemade arts and crafts, and businesses that are not in direct competition with existing stallholders.
Several traders that were successful in previous trial promotions have become permanent stallholders. These include; Victoria's Sponge House, Here We Aren't music merchandise, ZeroZero Pizzas, The Italian Twist and Remstone Kitchen.
The latest free trial period will run for six weeks from 17 December 2018 until the end of January 2019.
Steve Woolley, markets and commercial trading officer for Peterborough City Council, said: “The market has experienced something of a resurgence this year with new exciting traders arriving.
"Many successful businesses have started out on market stalls, so if you've got an idea for a new business or would like to expand an existing one, then please get in touch."
Businesses that are a success and stay on receive a 20% saving in their rent for the first month, social media support and a free promotional video after three months.
