100th birthday in Mayor’s diary this week

The Mayor will be celebrating a Peterborough lady’s 100th birthday and marking the opening of the new Healthy Peterborough Lifestyle Service in the week ahead.

Friday 7 July: The Mayor and Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will all be guests at Mrs Sheila Parkins’ 100th birthday party, 4pm to 5pm, Ashlynn Grange Care Home, Bretton Gate, PE3 9UZ.

Friday 7 July: The Mayor and Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will head to Peteborough Museum for an evening of Muslim song and how it’s evolved through three female generations. The event is part of the Exploring Intangible Cultural Heritage in Museum Contexts project and the Mayor will be there 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the museum on Priestgate. 

Saturday 8 July: The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the public event showcasing the new Healthy Peterborough Lifestyle Service. The Mayor will mark the service’s launch with a ribbon cutting ceremony, 11am to 12pm. 

Saturday 8 July: A fete to mark the 800th anniversary of All Saints' Church, Paston, is the next stop for the Mayor, 12 to 4pm, in Itter Park.

Sunday 9 July: The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend a charity cricket match between local Mosque members, the police and city council staff, 2 to 3pm, at Jack Hunt School, Ledbury Road.

Monday 10 July: The Mayor and Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will head to Huntingdon Town Council for a Battle of Britain flag raising ceremony, 10 to 11.30am, the Town Hall, High Street, Huntingdon.
