A 100th birthday and meeting ex-service personnel keep mayor busy

The Mayor will be attending a very special birthday and meeting armed forces veterans as part of dates in the mayoral diary next week.

Monday 27 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will be officially opening Rowland Pharmacy. They will be attending the opening ceremony at Boughbury Medical Practice, Craig Street, PE1 2EJ between 11am-12pm.

Monday 27 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending a history talk with students from the St John Fisher Catholic High Summer School. The talk will take place in the Mayor’s Parlour, Town Hall, Bridge Street between 12.30-1.30pm.

Monday 27 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending the Kingfisher Court extra care housing development opening day. They will be attending between 3-5pm at Kingfisher Court, Thistle Drive, Stanground PE2 8NZ.

Tuesday 28 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending the Spinney Extra Care Scheme to meet a resident on their 100th birthday. They will be attending between 3-3.30pm at The Spinney Extra Care Scheme, Neath Court, Eye. For more details contact Axiom Housing.

Wednesday 29 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending the Hero’s Contact Group at the Senior Stop in the city centre. This is for ex-service personnel of all ranks and from all the armed forces. They will be attending from 3.45pm at Senior Stop, 2 Cattlemarket Road, PE1 1TW.
