A charity valentine ball is on this week's Mayoral diary

The Mayor's charity valentine ball and a 15th anniversary lunch are in the mayoral diary this week.

Monday 6 February: The Mayor will make a toast at Glinton Friendship Club's 15th anniversary celebratory lunch. It takes place at Glinton Village Hall, in Glinton, near Peterborough, from 11am to 12.45pm.

Tuesday 7 February: The Mayor will welcome Norwegian guests from ABAX to the Mayor's Parlour at the Town Hall from 2pm to 4pm. ABAX is a Norwegian-owed vehicle technology company with a UK office at the Allia Future Business Centre in Peterborough.

Wednesday 8 February: The Mayor will attend the Peterborough Biscuit Business event at the Peterborough Arena. He will be the guest of BNI Synergy from 8am to 9.30am.

Wednesday 8 February: The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will be guests at the Interfaith Celebration at Peterborough Cathedral. Faith groups and schools will come together in a celebration of their diversity, organised in collaboration with Peterborough Interfaith Council. The service to tie in with United Nations Children's Day is from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

Thursday 9 February: The Mayor will attend the launch of the latest BMW series. The latest models of the BMW 5 series and MINI Countryman are to be unveiled in the 900 year old nave of Peterborough Cathedral. The ticket only event hosted by Sycamore Peterborough Ltd begins at 6pm.

Saturday 11 February: The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will be at the Mayor's charity Valentine’s Day ball. Tickets cost £17.50, and include a buffet. All money raised will go to the Mayor’s Charities. To book tickets for the event at the Town Hall email or call 01733 388718. The event starts at 7pm.
