A clairvoyant evening and the Diwali Festival keep Mayor busy

A clairvoyant evening hosted by Donna Stewart to raise money for the Mayor's charities and the opening of the Diwali Festival celebrations are among the dates in the mayoral diary next week.

Thursday 29 October: The Mayor and Mayoress will host a Clairvoyant Evening hosted by Donna Stewart. Donna is a tutor, writer, broadcaster and co-hosts her own radio show 'Paranormal Hour'  and also works with many respected mediums. The show is to raise money in aid of the Mayor's charities, Age UK Peterborough, Scout and Guide Movement, and Combined Cadet Force (Thomas Deacon Academy). The evening will take place in the Reception Room, Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough between 6.45pm and 9.45pm. Saturday 31 October: The Mayor and Mayoress will light a lamp and the Mayor will say a few words at 11am to open this year's Diwali Festival. North West Cambridgeshire MP Shailesh Vara and Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson will also be present. The celebration is the ancient Hindu festival of Diwali with prayer, dance, music, song and lights, and will take place on Cathedral Square, Peterborough between 10.30am and 6pm.

Sunday 1 November: The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the All Saints Day festival service led by The Rt Revd Donald Allister celebrating All Saints Day at All Saints' Church, Park Road, Peterborough between 9.45am and 1pm.
