Air ambulance event and The Lonely ANZAC service keep Mayor busy

An event for the charity Magpas Air Ambulance and a commemoration service of the Lonely ANZAC are among the dates in the mayoral diary next week.
 
Monday 25 July
: The Mayor will welcome visitors and open the Teach East Teacher Training College awards presentation. Thirty newly qualified teachers who have gone through a scheme will be recognised at an event sponsored by Arthur Mellows Village College. The graduation ceremony will take place in the Reception Room and Mayor's Parlour, Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough between 4pm and 6pm.

Saturday 30 July: The Mayor will start the Bike, Run or Walk event for Magpas Air Ambulance. This is the second annual Bike, Run, or Walk event to help raise money and awareness for the charity. The event will take place at Ferry Meadows, Nene Park, Peterborough and the Mayor will attend between 9.45am and 10.45am.

Sunday 31 July: The Mayor will take part in the events to mark the centenary of the death of The Lonely ANZAC, Sergeant Thomas Hunter. A commemoration service will take place at Peterborough Cathedral from 12.30pm before the procession proceeds to the war memorial where a special blanket of poppies will be laid at 1pm.
