Book bus launch in Mayoral diary

An awards evening and launch of a school 'book bus' are dates in the Mayoral Diary for the coming week.

Thursday 26 April - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend an afternoon tea event along with representatives of the Mayor's chosen charities. These are Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust, The Sea Cadets and Shopmobility. The event takes place in the Mayor's Parlour at Peterborough Town Hall from 1.30pm until 4.30pm.

Thursday 26 April - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the St John Ambulance awards ceremony which takes place at The Peterborough School in Thorpe Road from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.

Friday 27 April - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a Book Bus Launch at Fulbridge Academy. The book bus is being launched by Vivacity as part of the group's 'Vision for Reading' initiative and will travel around schools in the city providing books for children. The event takes place at the school in Keaton Road, Peterborough, from 10.30am until 1pm.

Saturday 28 April - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a Healthy heart event at the Healthy Living Centre in Princes Street, Peterborough, from 10am until 1pm.

Saturday 28 April - The Mayor and Mayoress will make a short speech at special event to celebrate the centenary of the Royal Air Force Association. The event takes place at the Masonic Hall, Ellindon, North Bretton, from 3.15pm until 9pm.
