Book launch and Last Night of the Proms keep Mayor busy

A book launch on Victorian Peterborough and the annual Last Night of the Proms are among the dates in the Mayoral diary next week.

  • The Mayor will attend the Peterborough Learning Partnership CIC (Community interest Company) Festival of Learning. The annual flagship conference will be attended by over 500 delegates from around 20 schools and will take place at Kingsgate Community Church and Conference Centre, Peterborough.
  • The Mayor and Mayoress will say a few words to open the Glinton Friendship Club celebrating the 100th birthday of their oldest member Win Vine. The celebrations will take place at Glinton Village Hall, High Street, Glinton, Peterborough.
  • The Mayor will host the formal book launch of Victorian Peterborough and Mr Mayor written by former teacher Dr Betty Chambers MBE. The book looks at Victorian Peterborough and the history of the Mayor. The launch will take place in The Mayor's Parlour, Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough.
  • The Mayor will welcome 35 delegates including councillors and the Mayor of St Christol Les Ales, Gard, France who are visiting the village of Stilton for their annual twinning with St Christol les Alès which has taken place since 1997. The visit will take place in The Mayor's Parlour, Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough.
  • The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the Mayor's Civic Service at St John the Baptist's Church, Main Street, Barnack, Peterborough.
  • The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will host Last Night of the Proms at the Key Theatre, Embankment Road, Peterborough.
