Caribbean evening and afternoon tea in the Mayor's diary this week

A Caribbean charity evening and welcoming residents to an Afternoon Tea session in the Town Hall are events in the Mayor’s diary for the coming week.

Tuesday, 8 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the Lions Club Meeting at Ebenezer’s in Grove Street, Woodston, between 8pm and 10pm.

Wednesday, 9 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the annual Afternoon Tea with the Mayor event, which will be held in the Reception Room in the Town Hall in Bridge Street, between 2pm and 4pm. Everyone is welcome and students from Jack Hunt School will be assisting at tables.

Friday 11 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the Commission of the Dean Service at Peterborough Cathedral between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Saturday, 13 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the RAF Wittering Station Families Fun Day at RAF Wittering between 12pm and 3pm.

Saturday, 13 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the Mayor's Charity Evening at the Millennium Centre in Dickens Street, between 7pm and 12am. Highlights include dancing to Tallawah, a Caribbean buffet and a competition for the best costume. Proceeds will go towards the Mayor's charities, which are Little Miracles and the Friends of Peterborough Hospitals.  

Sunday, 14 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend The Sultan & The Saint Event, which starts at Central Library in Broadway, between 3:30pm and 7:30pm. This is a commemoration of 800th Anniversary of St Francis braving enemy lines to meet with the Sultan.

Monday, 15 July - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a Haircuts4Homeless launch event at Outside Links in Wellington Street, between 10:30am and 12:30pm. Haircuts4Homeless will offer free haircuts to former HMP Peterborough residents to improve wellbeing and job opportunities.
