Christmas lights switch-on and YMCA Sleep Easy keep Mayor busy

The Christmas lights switch-on and YMCA Sleep Easy are among the dates in the mayoral diary next week. 

Wednesday 16 November - The Mayor will attend the re-launch of Starbucks in Cathedral Square. The event takes place from 11am to 12.30pm.

Friday 18 November - The Mayor will cut the ribbon to officially re-open the Wickes Store on Forty Acre Road, Fengate. The Mayor will attend from 9.45am to 10.30am.

Friday 18 November - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will present certificates at the Takeover Day at Peterborough Museum. The Takeover Day is a national celebration of children and young people’s contributions to museums, galleries, arts organisations, archives and heritage sites. The event starts at 12.30pm.

Friday 18 November - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will welcome participants at YMCA Cambridgeshire and Peterborough's Sleep Easy at Peterborough Cathedral. Participants will sleep rough for the night, raising money to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. The event starts at 7pm.

Saturday 19 November - The Mayor will attend Netherton Friendship Club's Christmas Sale at St Andrew's United Reformed Church, Ledbury Road, Netherton starting at 10am.

Saturday 19 November - The Mayor will join Leader of the Council, Councillor John Holdich, and Father Christmas to switch-on the Christmas lights in Cathedral Square. Entertainment starts at 1pm, with the switch-on at 5pm.

Sunday 20 November - The Mayor will be helping to auction items at the Spinney Christmas Bazaar and Auction at Neath Court, Eye from 2pm to 5pm.
