Christmas parties and festive fayres keep the mayor busy over the coming week

Christmas parties, festive fayres and carol concerts are among the dates in the mayoral diary over the coming week.

Thursday 14 December: The mayor and mayoress will attend the RSA insurance group's Christmas lights switch-on at Lynch Wood, Peterborough, PE2 6GG at 12noon. 

Thursday 14 December: The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Royal British Legion Christmas dinner at The Parkway PSL Club, 651 Lincoln Road, Peterborough, PE1 3HAbetween 5pm and 8pm.

Saturday 16 December: The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will draw the raffle at Avery House care home's Christmas event at 2pm. The home is on Chaffinch Lane, Hampton Vale, Peterborough, PE7 8NF.

Saturday 16 December: The Mayor and Mayoress will draw the raffle at a Christmas party to raise money for children in Chernobyl at All Saints' Church, Park Road, Peterborough, PE1 4YD between 7.15pm and 10pm.

Sunday 17 December: 
The Mayor and Mayoress will start the Santa Stroll at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre at Hampton at 10am. Proceeds from the event will go to the Mayor's charities for the year.

Sunday 17 December: 
The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Olive Branch Christmas fayre at Olive Road, Dogsthorpe, PE1 4PT at 12noon.

Sunday 17 December: 
The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a community carol service at The Salvation Army, 1203 Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough, PE1 2AUbetween 3.45pm and 5.30pm.

Monday 18 December:
 The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the stay and play Christmas party at The Way In Community House, 11 Copsewood, Werrington, Peterborough, PE4 6BN between 10am and 11am.

Monday 18 December:
 The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a presentation evening to GCSE and A-Level students at Jack Hunt School, Ledbury Road, Netherton, Peterborough, PE3 9PY, between 6.45pm and 9pm.

Tuesday 19 December:
 The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend Netherton Friendship Club's Christmas party at St Andrew's United Reformed Church, Netherton, Peterborough, PE3 9RF between 12.30pm and 3pm. 

Tuesday 19 December: 
The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a citizenship ceremony to welcome new arrivals to Peterborough at the Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough, between 2pm and 3pm.
