Come and celebrate at the Mayor's Farewell Ball

Council / 28 Feb 2018

The Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor John Fox, will celebrate the end of his term with a Farewell Ball later this year and everyone is invited to join in the fun.

The event takes place at the Holiday Inn hotel, Peterborough West, in Thorpe Wood on Saturday, May 19 from 6.45pm.

Councillor Fox is currently looking for anyone interested in donating or supporting prizes that will go up for grabs at an auction and raffle at the event, with all proceeds going towards his charity fund.

He said: "It's traditional for the outgoing Mayor to organise a ball to mark the end of their time in office and this will be a celebration of the past 12 months, which has been a fantastic experience for me.

"It promises to be an entertaining evening, with dancing and a three course meal. I'm very much looking forward to it, but in the meantime if anyone can help with prizes, please do get in touch."

Tickets cost £50 per person or £450 for a table of 10. Welcome drinks will be served from 6.45pm and the event will also include music from the Motor City Vipers. The dress code is Black Tie and Evening Gown.
