Council wins top level accreditation at this year’s iiE Awards

Council / 18 May 2018

iiE is a national environmental accreditation scheme that is designed to help businesses save money, reduce their impact on the environment, and get promoted for their green credentials.

The iiE Awards is an annual opportunity for both members and non-members of the iiE scheme to come together to celebrate their environmental achievements over the past year. By the council achieving an accolade such as the Green Accreditation, it reflects their level of commitment to the environment.

During the awards, there was an opportunity for businesses to network, hear from this year’s guest speaker and founder of Hubbub, Trewin Restorick, and share best practice with other green-thinking organisations.

The council was commended for their continued environmental commitment, including involvement in Share Peterborough and Fairtrade Peterborough.

April Sotomayor, Sustainability Consultant at iiE said, “Being part of the iiE Awards is a fantastic opportunity to see how much businesses have achieved through their environmental contributions over the past year. Through the networking opportunities available, businesses can share best practice, advice and build valuable industry connections.”
