A poignant ceremony to mark the D-Day Landings anniversary and a dragon boat race are among the dates in the Mayoral diary for this week.
Tuesday 4 June - the Mayor, Mayoress and Councillor Chris Ash, the previous Mayor, will attend a Rotary Club presentation evening at the Holiday Inn hotel in Thorpe Wood, Peterborough from 6.30pm until 10pm. The event will see Cllr Ash receive a donation for his charities.
Wednesday 5 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will visit Braybrook Primary School to talk to pupils about the role of being Mayor and a councillor. Their visit takes place from 1.15pm until 2pm.
Thursday 6 June - The Mayor, Mayoress and Deputy Mayor will attend a special service to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. The service takes place outside Peterborough Town Hall from 10.30am.
Thursday 6 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will be special guests at a Country Dancing Festival at the Kings School in Thorpe Road, Peterborough from 6pm until 7pm.
Saturday 8 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a launch event for new table tennis tables at Central Park in Peterborough from 10am until 10.30am.
Saturday 8 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will make a speech to celebrate the opening of Charlie's public house. The event takes place at the pub, in Grove Street, Woodston, from 1.30pm until 2.30pm.
Saturday 8 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will make award presentations at the Peterborough Dragon Boat Race. The popular annual event takes place at the Rowing Club in Thorpe Meadows, Peterborough, from 2.30pm until 5pm.
Sunday 9 June - The Mayor, Mayoress and Deputy Mayor will lay wreaths at service to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. The service takes place at Central Park and All Saints Church in Peterborough from 9.30am until 11.30am.
