The Peterborough Fireworks Fiesta and an opera performance are among the events in the Mayor’s diary this coming week.
Friday 3 November - The Mayor, Mayoress and Deputy Mayor will attend a Year One children’s tea party at Gladstone Primary Academy from 1.30pm to 2.45pm in Gladstone Street, PE1 2BZ.
Friday 3 November - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a 158 Regiment Royal Logistics Corps charity event which will involve a 2,220 mile cycle ride (Peterborough to Cairo) to raise funds for the Mayor's charities, the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal and the Army Benevolent Fund. The distance has been chosen as it's a real challenge and also because elements of the 152 regiment served in Cairo during World War Two. It will take place at the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre from 3pm to 4pm.
Friday 3 November - The Mayor and Mayoress will be cutting a ribbon to officially declare the Gourmet Bus open at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre from 4pm to 5pm.
Saturday 4 November - The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending a meeting held by the National Association of Retired Police Officers from 10.45am to 11.15am at the Holiday Inn in Thorpe Wood, PE3 6SG.
Saturday 4 November - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will be lighting the bonfire at the Peterborough Fireworks Fiesta at the Peterborough Arena from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
Sunday 5 November - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend a performance of Peterborough Opera’s ‘A Masked Ball’ at the Key Studio on Embankment Road, Peterborough from 3.30pm to 7pm.
Tuesday 7 November - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the British Empire Medal (BEM) Investiture Ceremony at the council chamber from 10am to noon.
