Gavin Elsey (Conservative) has won a by-election held today for the Orton Longueville ward in Peterborough.
Councillor Elsey won after securing 713 votes. Heather Skibsted (Labour) finished in second place with 657 votes. The turnout was 25.92 per cent.

The by-election was held after the previous councillor for the ward, June Bull (Con) resigned from her seat.
As a result, the Conservatives now have 31 of the council's 60 seats.
