Great Eastern Run visit in Mayor's diary

A school arts awards ceremony and the Perkins Great Eastern Run are dates in the Mayoral diary for this coming week

Tuesday October 9 - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a Citizenship ceremony in the Council Chambers at Peterborough Town Hall between 2pm and 3pm.

Tuesday October 9 - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will make a speech at a Navaratri Festival being held at The Cresset in Bretton, from 8.30pm until 10.30pm. Navaratri is a nine nights Hindu festival, celebrated in autumn every year.

Wednesday October 10 - The Mayor will hand out long service awards to volunteers and staff at a Citizens Advice AGM. The event takes place in the ballroom at the Great Northern Hotel in Peterborough from 1.45pm until 3.30pm.

Friday October 12 - The Mayor will present arts awards certificates to year three and year six children at West Town Primary Academy School in Midland Road, Peterborough, between 9am and 10.15am.

Saturday October 13 - The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend an autumn Durgotsav festival at Longthorpe Village Hall in Thorpe Road Peterborough. Durgotsav is an annual Hindu festival that reveres the goddess Durga.

Sunday October 14 - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Perkins Great Eastern Run from 9.30am. The party will start the half marathon and fun run, as well as presenting awards at the finish.

Sunday October 14 - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend a Nepalese Party held at The Solstice in Northminster Road, Peterborough from 5.30pm.
