Jackson retains Peterborough parliamentary seat

Stewart Jackson retained the Peterborough parliamentary seat for the Conservatives in yesterday’s (Thursday 7 May 2015) general election.

Mr Jackson secured 18,684 votes out of a total of 47,254 votes cast. Labour’s Lisa Forbes finished second with 16,759 votes.

Results for other candidates were: Darren Fower, Liberal Democrat (1,774 votes), Mary Herdman, UKIP (7,485 votes), Darren Bisby-Boyd, Green Party (1,218 votes), Chris Ash, Liberal Party (639 votes) and independent John Fox (516 votes). 

Turnout was 65.15 per cent.
