The official installation of the new Mayor and the opening of the annual Heritage Festival are among the dates in the diary for the Mayor of Peterborough this coming week.
Tuesday, 12 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a meeting and will be made honorary members for the year at the next meeting of the Peterborough Lion's Club at Ebeneezers in Grove Street, Peterborough, PE1 9AG from 8pm to 9.45pm.
Wednesday, 13 June - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend a reception for city councillors who have retired over the year. The reception is held to thank the former councillors for their dedication to the city. It will be held in the Mayor's Parlour in Town Hall from 6pm to 8pm.
Friday, 15 June - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Armed Forces Concert at the Parkway Club in Maskew Avenue, PE1 2AS from 7pm to 10pm.
Saturday, 16 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the opening of the Peterborough Heritage Festival at Peterborough Cathedral from 9am to 10am. The Mayor will then give a speech at the Guildhall in Cathedral Square from 10.45am to 11.30am.
Saturday, 16 June - The Mayor and Mayoress will make a speech and formally open Maxey Fayre which is being held at the John Perkins Field in Westend Road, Maxey, PE6 9EJ from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
Sunday, 17 June - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Mayor's Installation in which Cllr Chris Ash is formally installed as the new Mayor of Peterborough. This will take place at Peterborough Cathedral and in the Reception Room at Town Hall from 10am to 5pm.
