Nene Valley Railway's 40th anniversary and a sailing competition are in the mayoral diary this week.
Thursday 1 June
The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend Nene Valley Railway's 40th anniversary event. To celebrate this anniversary year, classic locomotives will be paying a visit to Wansford Station, near Stibbington. The event is from 11am to 4pm.
Saturday 3 June
The Mayor and Mayoress will hand out medals to the winners of an ice skating competition. The event is at Planet Ice, Bretton, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
Sunday 4 June
The Mayor and Mayoress will be at the St Edmundsbury Mayoral Civic Service. It is at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, from 3pm to 5pm.
Tuesday 6 June
The Mayor and Mayoress will present medals to the winners of the Water Wheels Challenge 2017. This is a sailing boat event at Gunwade Lake, Ferry Meadows Country Park from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Wednesday 14 June
There will be a programme of events to mark the 35th anniversary of the end of the Falklands War. A civic procession and ceremony, including the raising of the Falklands Islands flag, will take place at the Peterborough War Memorial at 10.30am.
Thursday 22 June
The Mayor's open day at Peterborough Town Hall. Entry open to all.
