Oxjam celebrations and Paddington Bear keep the Mayor busy this week

The Oxjam live music event and a date with Paddington Bear are among the events in the Mayor’s diary this coming week.

Thursday 19 October - The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend and say a few words at the Royal Naval Association Dinner at the Holiday Inn in Thorpe Wood, PE3 6SG (6.45pm start).

Friday 20 October - The Mayor will be attending the annual Sue Ryder meeting at the Great Northern Hotel from 10am to noon.

Friday 20 October - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will be attending The Bear Club charity lunch, which is being held at the Peterborough Marriott Hotel from 12.15pm to 3.30pm. The city based Bear Club is a dining club set up for both men and women to raise funds for Action Medical Research. It is the only charity to be granted the privilege of using Paddington Bear as its mascot. 

Friday 20 October - The Mayor of Peterborough will attend The Peterborough School speech day at the Cathedral from 1.20pm to 4.15pm. The annual event is held to celebrate the academic and sporting achievements of students.

Saturday 21 October - The Mayor will be the guest of honour at the Peterborough Oxjam live music event which will be held in the Cathedral Precincts and the Reception Room at Town Hall from 2pm to 4pm. 

Saturday 21 October - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Peterborough Deafblind Club’s wine and cheese evening at Paston Church Hall in Paston Ridings, PE1 4YT from 7.45pm to 9.30pm.

Tuesday 24 October - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a Citizenship Ceremony in the Reception Room at Town Hall from 2pm to 3.30pm.
