Members of Peterborough’s community have come together to offer their condolences following the attack in Westminster yesterday.
The Union Flag has flown at half mast over the Town Hall today and a book of condolence was opened earlier.
A signing ceremony took place at the Town Hall involving faith and community leaders from across Peterborough, city councillors and representatives from Cambridgeshire Police.
Councillor Irene Walsh, cabinet member for communities and environment said: “On behalf of Peterborough City Council I would like to offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones during the tragic events in Westminster yesterday. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to the victims and all those people affected.
“Peterborough remains united in defiance of extremism and terrorism. All faiths and communities in the city stand shoulder to shoulder in condemnation of this attack.
