Store opening and art exhibition keep Mayor busy

The opening of Peterborough's new Krispy Kreme store and a school art exhibition are among the engagements in the mayoral diary this week.

Monday 11 July: The Mayor will take part in a VIP party at Krispy Kreme Peterborough, ahead of its grand opening on Wednesday 13 July. The party takes place at 5.45pm at the store on Hadfield Road, Hampton.

Tuesday 12 July:  The Deputy Mayor will take part in a citizenship ceremony to welcome new citizens to the UK in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall at 2pm.

Tuesday 12 July: The Mayor will visit an art and photography exhibition taking place at The Voyager Academy, Mountsteven Avenue, Walton, at 6.30pm.

Wednesday 13 July: The Mayor will attend the grand opening of the first Krispy Kreme in East Anglia on Hadfield Road, Hampton. He will cut the ribbon to mark the store officially open for business at 9am.

Thursday 14 July: The Mayor will take part in the official opening of a new extension to Southfield's Primary School. The event starts at 10.15am at the school on Southfields Estate, Stanground.

Friday 15 July: The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the John Clare Society Festival at St Botolph's Church, Helpston, from 1pm.

Friday 15 July: The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will take part in the official opening of the extension and refurbishment of Dalmark House, Eye. Dalmark House is the home of seed suppliers, Dalmark Group, a business that has operated in Peterborough since 1959. The event takes place at 3pm.

Sunday 17 July: The Mayor will cut the ribbon to officially open the grand fete at Arthur Mellows Village College, Glinton at 10.15am. 

Sunday 17 July: The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will take part in a service to mark the installation of new Commanding Officers of Peterborough Salvation Army Corps. The event takes place from 10.30am at Salvation Army Citadel, 1203 Bourges Boulevard.
