Student conference and Freedom of the City keep Mayor busy

A Human Utopia student conference and Freedom of the City for the Salvation Army are among the dates in the mayoral diary next week.

Tuesday 14 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will attend Raising Aspirations a student conference involving secondary schools across Peterborough which has been organised by Human Utopia who run inspirational life changing courses for young people and adults. The event will take place at Thomas Deacon Academy, Queens Gardens, Peterborough between 2pm and 3.30pm.

Tuesday 14 July: The Mayor will attend the Peterborough Lions business meeting where he will be made an honorary Lion for the duration of his term of office. The meeting will take place at Ebenezers, Grove Street, New Fletton, Peterborough between 8pm and 10pm.

Thursday 16 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will open One Step at a Time which is an employer suite to give support to Peterborough employers and potential employees. The visit will take place at Peterborough Jobcentre Plus, Clifton House, 84 Broadway, Peterborough between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Thursday 16 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will attend the opening of the new Allia Future Business Centre Peterborough including a tour of the facilities. The opening will take place at Future Business Centre Peterborough, London Road, Peterborough between 5.30pm and 7.15pm.

Sunday 19 July: The Mayor, Mayoress and Deputy Mayor will make a presentation of the Freedom of the City to the Salvation Army at Salvation Army Citadel, 1203 Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough between 10.15am and 1pm. A separate press release will follow next week.

Sunday 19 July: The Mayor and Mayoress will welcome guests to the Chernobyl Children's Appeal Garden Party which will include stalls, raffle, teas etc. and will be held at 51 Apsley Way, Longthorpe, Peterborough. The Mayor will attend between 3pm and 4.30pm.
