The 40th Peterborough Beer Festival and a Hawaiian party keep the Mayor busy

The 40th CAMRA Peterborough Beer Festival and an Hawaiian themed summer garden party are amongst the events in the Mayoral diary.

Friday 18 August - The Mayor and Mayoress will visit the Peterborough University of the Third Age's Annual event to find out about activities which are open to members.  They will attend between 11am and 12noon at The Fleet, Fletton Way, PE2 8DL.

Saturday 19 August - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend Avery House Care Home's Hawaiian themed summer garden party.  The Mayor and Mayoress will be in charge of drawing the raffle and will attend between 2.15pm and 3.15pm at 2 Chaffinch Lane, Hampton Vale, PE7 8NF.

Sunday 20 August - The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending Werrington Lodge Care Home's summer fete between 1.45pm and 2pm.  The Mayor will say a few words as well as meet the home's oldest resident who is 103 years old.  The event takes place at the home in Barron Court, PE4 7ZF.

Sunday 20 August - The Mayor and Mayoress and the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress will attend an event at The Cresset Centre to mark the 70th anniversary of Indian independence.  The event will take place between 2pm and 8pm on Rightwell, Bretton PE3 8DX.

Monday 21 August - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend an event to mark the 25th anniversary of Rowland Court.  They will unveil a new plaque at the sheltered housing scheme and present flowers between 2pm and 4pm.  The event will take place at Rowland Court, Goodwin Walk, Werrington PE4 6RE.

Tuesday 22 August - The Mayor and Mayoress and the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress will attend the first day of the 40th CAMRA Peterborough Beer Festival between 2.15pm and 4.15pm on The Embankment.

Wednesday 23 August - The Mayor will say a few words at the BNI Synergy Business Breakfast Meeting at the Allia Future Business Centre between 6.45am and 8.45am.

1 September - Fly the Red Ensign for Merchant Navy Day event at the war memorial on Bridge Street. The flag will be raised at 10am.
